District Grants to Support Individuals Seeking a North Dakota Specialist Trained in Dyslexia Credential
Who can apply? A district (LEA), Regional Education Association (REA) or Special Education Unit (SEU) may apply on behalf of one employee who is seeking a ND Specialist Trained in Dyslexia Credential.

Amount: Up to $1,500

Project and Budget Period: May 30, 2026 to June 30, 2027.

Allowable Uses: Tuition for the following courses named in NDAC 67-11-25-04:
- 2.a Introduction to dyslexia;
- 2.b Assessment for students with dyslexia;
- 2.c. Interventions for students with dyslexia; and
- 2.d A minimum of three semester hours of practicum experience related to dyslexia assessment and interventions.
Reimbursement Process: Tuition amount will be issued upon evidence of successful completion of the course approved in this application. A completion report, tuition receipt, and transcript showing the successful completion of the course must be submitted with the claim for reimbursement. Applications are due April 30, 2026.
